The Pope and the Jews: Interfaith Dialogue


Carol RittnerScholar Carol Rittner will begin the discussion with background on papal-Jewish relations going back to Pope John XXIII, and will include Pius XII and the Holocaust, as well as world behavior during the Holocaust. Dr. Carol Rittner, RSM is Distinguished Professor of Holocaust & Genocide Studies at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. She is the author or editor of 16 books and numerous essays in various scholarly and educational journals about the Holocaust and other genocides of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Rabbi Jeff Sultar of Congregation B’nai Israel will give a response, followed by Fr. Bob Schecker of The Church of the Nativity. There will be a Q&A session following the responses.

This program is free of charge and refreshments will be served.
