Plans for The Big Read include creating an all-inclusive, widespread network that reaches out to all county residents and to our middle schools, high schools, libraries, arts agencies and the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Featured activities will include book discussions, renowned speakers, lectures, movie screenings, and performing arts events. Chhange will also receive free-of-charge educational materials to supplement the readings, including Reader, Teacher, and Audio Guides for distribution to schools and libraries.

Faculty roundtables will be held in October 2012 and January 2013 to provide a wealth of resources and lesson plans. Students will have opportunities to participate in exciting activities including a writing and art contest.
