An Invitation to Our 2020 Commemorations

Watch A Personal Invitation from Holocaust Survivor Claire Boren

Dear Chhange community,

As we practice social distancing, coming together becomes more important than ever. The well-being of our community remains of paramount importance and Chhange is implementing innovative ways for us to come together, as we have for the past 40 years.

Please know that we will NOT be cancelling any of our April commemorative events; instead, we are transitioning each event from an in-person program to a virtual program. These commemorations include:

April 7: 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda

April 21: Yom HaShoah

April 24: Armenian Genocide

Harnessing the power of online platforms like Facebook Live, Twitter, and Instagram, we will provide members of our community with educational content, commemorative practices, and spaces to connect and interact.

While our offices remain closed, please remember that we are still here for you! Chhange's work continues: assisting educators and students navigating virtual classroom experiences, supporting our diverse membership base, and coming up with creative ways to deliver programming and stay connected.

Thanks to each and every one of you for your support of Chhange. More details to follow, so please stay tuned!

Be well and take care of yourselves and each other.
