Every day, students face moral dilemmas. Is it okay to say that someone’s joke is racist? When is someone “just kidding” and when is it hate speech? Last summer, we witnessed blatant hate speech in the streets of our country.
We need to respond.
Join us on January 11, 2018 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for an educators’ workshop that will enable you to:
- Inspire your students to be a part of the innovative art installation, Stand Up Against Hate
- Participate in a “Hands-On” Educator Workshop
- Educate your students, using primary sources to help understand the past and its relevance to today, as reflected through artistic expression
- Receive a comprehensive lesson plan and art materials
