Chhange's Statement on the Jersey City Shooting

Our hearts and prayers are with the families of the murder victims and the community of Jersey City. The Jewish community was targeted alongside Law Enforcement, and we mourn with them.

Sadly, this horrific act of premeditated antisemitic violence is not an anomaly. The ADL reports that 2018 was the third-highest year on record for antisemitic acts since they began keeping track in 1979, and New Jersey had the third highest number of incidents in the country.

We cannot lose hope or choose the path of inaction. At Chhange, our work continues. We will not rest in our efforts to make our community safer, more compassionate, and more likely to stand up when wrongdoing occurs.
