Nathaniel Nyok was 8 years old when he left war-torn Sudan for a refugee camp thousands of miles away in Ethiopia. For 15 years he fought for his future, eventually making it to the United States.

In his memoir, Days of Refugee: One of the World’s Lost Boys of the Sudan, Nathaniel explores his time as an orphaned refugee living in a Displaced Persons Camp in Ethiopia, his choice to put education first, and his experience immigrating to the United States.

Nathaniel continues to work for the future of the Sudan and all of the Lost Boys still there. Nathaniel is the founder and president of Ambassadors for Change: The Nathaniel Chol Nyok Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to building and maintaining a high school in the Jonglei State of the South Sudan.

Copies of Days of Refugee: One of the World’s Lost Boys of Sudan will be available for purchase & signing at the event.
