Annual Yom HaShoah Commemoration Program

This year’s Holocaust Remembrance Commemoration Program features keynote speaker Dr. Peter Hayes, author of Why? Explaining the Holocaust (2017), Industry and Ideology: IG Farben in the Nazi Era (1987, 2001) and Lessons and Legacies: The Meaning of the Holocaust in a Changing World(1991). His work, published in English and German, focuses on the causes of and ideology behind the Holocaust.

This moving commemorative program also includes a candle-lighting ceremony featuring local Holocaust survivors who are escorted by sailors from Naval Weapons Station Earle, as well as a musical performance by a local high school choir.  All are welcome to this powerful remembrance event.

We invite Holocaust Survivors, their families, student groups, college students, and the public to attend this commemorative program on Friday, April 13, 2018 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Admission is free.

Location: BREC Building, Brookdale Community College Lincroft Campus.

This event is also available to school groups free of charge. Join us on April 13th for an opportunity to learn more about the economic history of the Holocaust and honor the men and women who lived through this horrific time in history.
